My first “real job” after college was at a funeral home — and the experiences over my 6 year career have forever changed me. I worked my way up to serve as a licensed funeral director and embalmer at one of South Carolina’s oldest and largest firms. My decision to leave the funeral industry was one of the most difficult changes I have made in my young life. Even though my day job looks different now, I still take the business of making difficult topics more approachable very seriously. I believe it is important to talk honestly about pain and beauty, and I hope to lend a credible voice to conversations which are uncomfortable or intimidating. I hope you will join me here often.
